Tischlerei Gebrüder Falgschlunger

This is how to brand a carpenter

There is a perception outside the design and construction industries that carpentry is a dying traditional trade, but skilled carpenters are increasingly in demand as wood is recognised as a versatile and sustainable material by contemporary designers – and it is currently on-trend.

With that in mind, we were delighted to stumble upon a new identity for Tischlerei Gebrüder Falgschlunger – a carpenter based near Innsbruck, Austria – by Austrian design studio Bureau Rabensteiner.

It is a perfectly pitched identity with a modern and simplistic logo while the execution shows the detail, passion, dedication and consistent craftsmanship that you would associate with a 85-year-old business.

Carpenter Jakob Falgschlunger founded his company back in 1929. Following in his footsteps, carpenters Alois Falgschlunger and Anton Falgschlunger carry on his legacy so that the company is now entering its fourth generation.

You can see more of the identity here…
