BUS by Spanish art collective ‘mmmm….’

You can’t miss this bus!

Whether it’s great office, home or street furniture, the best design examples engage and interact with people. They provide a positive experience through site, texture, movement and conversation.

So, we absolutely adore this permanent art project by Spanish art collective ‘mmmm….’.

The giant 14-foot tall and seven-foot wide bus stop – which tells us exactly what it is – was created using traditional wood and steel.

It functions perfectly as a bus stop – the ‘B’ shelters from the rain, the ‘U’ lets tired shoppers kick-back and the ‘S’ does both. More importantly it will aid interaction between people as a conversation point and make the wait for the next bus seem shorter – and enjoyable.

No-doubt the installation will become an iconic meeting place for the community and encourage people to take the bus. It’s great design!

‘BUS’ is supported by Creative Alliance and Southeast Community Development Corporation as part of the TRANSIT initiative, Creative Placemaking with Europe in Baltimore.BUS by Spanish art collective ‘mmmm….’ BUS by Spanish art collective ‘mmmm….’ BUS by Spanish art collective ‘mmmm….’ BUS by Spanish art collective ‘mmmm….’
