Whether it’s great office, home or street furniture, the best design examples engage and interact with people. They provide a positive experience through site, texture, movement and conversation.
So, we absolutely adore this permanent art project by Spanish art collective ‘mmmm….’.
The giant 14-foot tall and seven-foot wide bus stop – which tells us exactly what it is – was created using traditional wood and steel.
It functions perfectly as a bus stop – the ‘B’ shelters from the rain, the ‘U’ lets tired shoppers kick-back and the ‘S’ does both. More importantly it will aid interaction between people as a conversation point and make the wait for the next bus seem shorter – and enjoyable.
No-doubt the installation will become an iconic meeting place for the community and encourage people to take the bus. It’s great design!
