Momir Bojic’s VW Beetle

A VW Beetle made from wood

Instead of quietly retiring to a spot of gardening and afternoon snoozes, 71-year-old Momir Bojic has painstakingly put together 50,000 pieces of oak to create a VW Beetle.

It took the retired Bosnian two years to complete the car by using small rounded discs of wood to layer-up the bodywork. Up close the car looks like a scaly reptile but from a distance the car has a beautiful warm golden glow.
