The gradient table by Eli Chissick

‘Gradient’ is a coffee table that really celebrates and rejoices in the beauty, detail and diversity of wood.

Designed by the award winning craftsman, Eli Chissick, the table is created using 10 different types of veneer that have been bonded in an order to create a colour spectrum. The result is a stunning looking and tactile rainbow of wood.

It is impossible to fight the urge to run your hands across the transitions between the oak, wenge, maple, walnut and emboya woods. By placing the contrasting woods next to each other the colours, textures and details are brought vividly alive.

Designers could have real fun using this principle with Kronodesign’s wood decor palette and, to give the piece real tactility, the Natural Touch range.
