Orla Reynolds

As if from . . . well, anywhere

Saving space can be a tough chore for pretty much any household, especially for those with small living spaces, or for when an unexpected guest turns up for dinner, but furniture designer Orla Reynolds has come up with a quirky, yet stylish, solution.

Designed as an independently functioning bookcase, the set called ‘As if from nowhere’ houses four dining chairs and two tables, which, when placed together, become a larger dining table. The bookcases can be arranged to accommodate different styles and awkward living spaces.

Reynolds has recently been awarded a first class honours degree in Design Interior and Furniture from DIT, and designs multi-functional furniture providing a sense of play. She plans on developing a number of different pieces based on this principle, and we look forward to seeing what products she can launch in the future.
