Gonçalo Campos - the Rolhaî table

A corking idea for a table from Gonçalo Campos

Great product design takes an everyday item or ritual and gives it a twist to create something fabulous and stylish. Well, the London-based Portuguese designer Gonçalo Campos has created the Rolhaî table and it has it all – including a very real twist (three of them in fact).

In a toast to the ritual of opening a bottle of wine, Gonçalo Campos has designed this beautifully simple table that requires you to screw in the legs like you’re just about to open a bottle of wine.

It’s an inspired and quirky piece of furniture that really plays to the material’s practical and aesthetic strengths, but also its tradition use.
