Nostalgic for your old school desk?

Home Desk by Julie Arrive

Back to school

We keep returning to Design Milk because they’re masters at discovering must-have items and Julie Arrivé’s new Home Desk for Singularité-Editions is a nostalgic gem.

If you’re old enough, you’ll remember the iconic flip-top school desks, which could store your wallpaper-bound textbooks and chewed pens while offering protection from friends firing elastic bands.

Well, Julie Arrivé has updated it for adults with clean lines and a more functional flip-top area that cuts halfway through the desk top, leaving space for papers to remain on the desk. The desk has all the beauty and benefits without the chewing gum stuck to the bottom or love hearts badly etched in Biro into the desk top.

We thoroughly recommend that you visit Design Milk to daydream over more photographs of the home desk and find links to the Singularité-Editions collection.
