New kids on the block: Knauf and Brown

If It’s Nice That isn’t a blog you visit regularly, then it should be. The immensely knowledgeable team of writers have a wonderful knack of digging up wonderful, obscure talent.

This morning they featured student designers Calen Knauf and Conrad Brown, both at university in Vancouver. Their ‘Profile Chair’ is a piece of beautifully modest ingenuity: sleek, practical, brilliantly designed.

Also on their website you’ll see ‘Heavystock’, a modular shelving that can be flat-packed. Their designs are excellent responses to real constraints in available products and spaces, and look great in the process.
