Russian Rustica

Denis Milovanov is a design maker from Russia with a passion for taking large pieces of dead or damaged trees and making them into something beautiful. By ‘keeping them from further destruction in the outdoor environment’, he is giving them a ‘second life’.

He carves these hunks of rugged wood into chairs and other pieces of functional furniture. They are rustic, yet blissfully simply. We adore them.
