Flat Pack Pets

This was just too adorable not to share. London design studio Yang:Ripol have delighted us with these oh-so-simple but oh-so-lovely plywood animals.

Called ‘Flat Zoo’, the five pieces of thin ply are printed on both sides and can be combined to make a small menagerie of creatures great and small. They make an elephant, a monkey, a penguin, an owl, a whale and a mouse.

Silly? Absolutely. Just simplistically wonderful? Oh yes. If you spent your childhood often making and cutting out characters of your own, this is a fabulous nostalgia trip.
