Kata Monus weaves her magic

Design Milk featured something interesting up today – the strange hybrid furniture of young Hungarian designer Kata Monus.

Weaving textiles through wood, these pieces have an incredible tactile quality to them, that whilst initially strange to behold also seems incredibly intuitive. Why not thread material through wood to make flexible shelves? It looks odd, golly it sure does make sense!
