New Designers Part II: Winners Announced

New Designers, the prestigious graduate design awards, have announced its second winner this year. The Awards were presented by Jay Osgerby, of the BarberOsgerby practice that designed the Olympic torch.

For guests from the design industry and the graduates he had threee pieces of advice: “Firstly – be curious; secondly – be really resilient; thirdly – aim high, be ambitions and believe in your ability.”.

The BDC New Designer of the Year was Craig Foster, a graduate in Furniture and Product Design from Nottingham Trent. His design Kurk is a self-assembly table lamp, praised for its commercial viability and development potential.
