Wooden Laptop Case by Rainer Spehl

Berlin-based furniture designer Rainer Spehl has turned his attention from the larger domestic and industrial work space, to the individual. In a collaboration with fellow Berliners and fashion house Ucon, Spehl has created a laptop case that effortlessly boasts practicality and style.

Featuring a self-described magnetic closing device and leather lined interior, Spehl’s case sounds more like a sports car than a laptop case on paper and for that reason we love it. With three sizes available, which are specifically fitted for the 13, 15 and 17″ Apple Macbook Pro, Spehl offers a rare breath of fresh air in the laptop case department. A welcomed departure from standard cases you’ll see during the daily commute or in the office. Design blog OEN also have a short documentary on the development process that went into designing the cases, which you can view here.
