Bamboo Globe by Kristoffer Zeuthen

Design Boom have featured a bamboo globe created by Danish industrial designer, Kristoffer Zeuthen. The underlying concept of the piece is to subtly unite both the elegance of the design itself with the beauty of it’s evident inspiration, our planet.
Zuethen’s agency Kilo Zulu has a work ethos steeped in communication through design. ‘Kilo’ and ‘Zulu’ being the phonetic names for the letters K and Z, which when used at sea translate to ‘I want to communicate’. Zuethen’s work punctures the cacophony of the modern environment to illustrate specific ideas and concepts, in this case the importance of being environmentally friendly to maintain the sublimity of our home. An important element of Kronospans design process.
