Clerkenwell Design Week to put Scotland on the map

A unique, one-off exhibition at Clerkenwell Design Week (22-24 May) is being held by 45 of Scotland’s leading furniture makers and textile companies.

One of the exhibitors will be Birky Design. Based in Edinburgh, and specialising in bespoke, limited edition furniture using the best of their local materials, their distinctive designs draw inspiration from both urban and rural influences.

They’ll be exhibiting a specially made Clerkenwell Map Table, and if it’s anything like the Edinburgh examples in the pictures it’ll be just lovely. Design that is rustically lovely and doesn’t take itself too seriously is a rare breed, so check out their site for more and watch this video for more.
