Tom Raffield’s Wooden Wonders

We’ve featured steam-bended pieces on For(u)m before – an impressive, ancient technique that can have beautiful results. When browsing through the excellent We Heart Design blog yesterday I found a feature on Tom Raffield.

A young designer from Exmoor, he discovered steam bending whilst at Falmouth University, and it would appear he hasn’t looked back since.

His pieces are truly extraordinary, and it’s exciting to see such promising young talent coming from the UK using raw materials to create something really unique and wonderful. Most of his collection is available to buy on his site.

  1. Me, I gotta say it: You’re interesting explorers; great show and tells.
