D&DA Student Awards

The entry deadline for the D&DA Student Awards is approaching fast. Students have got until Friday 9 March 2012 at 5pm GMT. Kronospan is rather proud to be sponsoring the Furniture Design brief, which asks the talented creatives to design a desk or work surface that will enhance the learning experience for a young student.

It’s an open brief but the final product must incorporate a minimum of 80% Kronospan wood based materials – so we’ve been inundated with sample requests from undergraduates from across the UK.

The importance of winning a D&DA Student Award can not be underestimated, especially in these difficult times of high graduate unemployment. About 76% of graduating winners at the Student Awards walk into a job or placement in less than three months. Plus, nominees and student Yellow Pencil winners get the opportunity to attend the career boosting Graduate Academy, which provides training in personal and professional skills, invaluable industry experience and a paid placement.

The Student Yellow Pencil winners will be revealed at an exclusive event in London, as part of New Blood, on Tuesday 26 June. Good luck!
